A guild of wordsmiths, fluent in poetic persuasion

The House of M. Wordington & Lady Smithery

Founded in 1848, the Collective began with Political Crisis Poets, Narrative Contrivance Agents, and Witty Sign Painters—united by a single belief:

Words, when properly forged, can outlast empires.

That same belief guides us today.

Our ink may no longer stain parchment, but our words still wield power, precision, and permanence.

What We Do

We are a Literary Collective—equal parts atelier, forge, and ivory tower—that remains sensationally snobbish.

Our craft includes:

  • Brand Platforms: swoon-worthy, story-led, and structurally sound.

  • Tone-of-Voice Guides: global, disciplined, distinct.

  • Brand Acts & Experiences: from stunts to immersive storytelling.

  • Slogans, Jingles, and Mission Statements: sticky, memorable, immortal.

  • Anthemic Narratives & Manifestos: inspired words that rally nations and brands alike.

  • Messaging Architectures: hierarchies designed for clarity, resonance, and reach.

…all crafted with the same delicate care once reserved for accretive curses, inked in liquid gold.

Medela Brand Strategy & Campaign

(project in production)

Medela is elevating its identity from “pump maker” to champion of mothers' unseen devotion. The brand is launching the Motion InBra™ hands-free breast pump with a strategic platform we penned called “Beautiful Mess.”

This campaign reframes the postpartum experience not as chaos, but as a symphony of quiet triumphs, identity-rich moments, and reclaimed agency—all with a baby (and toddler) still very much in frame.

The work balances emotional resonance and product credibility. The creative direction avoids clichés and celebrates functional beauty, emotional nuance, and high design—turning pumping into an act of power, not sacrifice.

Constellation Energy

Strategy, Campaign, and Experiential

New Nuclear energy, created through fusion, sparks vivid hues of fuchsia, magenta, and violet—a radiant poetry of power. Beyond its beauty, it delivers 100% carbon-free electricity, clearing smoggy skies into brilliant blue and restoring the full spectrum of color to our world.

Today’s nuclear plants are architectural feats: safe, digitized, and waste-responsible, transforming a once-feared technology into a model of stewardship. With the power to generate centuries of clean energy from a single glass of seawater, new nuclear delivers not just efficiency but elegance.

In the face of the climate crisis, it emerges as a breathtaking solution—graceful, responsible, and essential to a brighter, more vibrant future..

That's the jaw-dropping, mind-bending reality of nuclear's evolution. It's time for the world to reassess the role of nuclear power.

AMAZON WEB SERVICES

AWS asked Jack Morton to unify its presence in sports through a single brand platform that spanned hockey, Formula 1, and golf. The challenge was to create three distinct campaigns under one cohesive strategy that worked across broadcast, digital, experiential, and social channels. At the heart of the platform was a simple truth: year after year, fans are getting smarter stats, faster insights, and deeper details on their favorite players, moves, and wins—all powered by AWS. This big brand message positioned AWS not as background technology, but as the engine making the game smarter for teams and fans alike.

Lady Smithery, (center) 1st meeting Seneca Lakes, NY, 1848

Our Storied History

It all began when Lady Smithery, having recently been expelled from the Oxford Women’s School of Banal Rhetoric for being “Too declarative,” attended a secret reading of banned experimental fairytales, where she met the eloquent M. Wordington, a disgraced royal with a flair for subtext.

Together, they went on to produce:

  • Manifestos for Suffragettes

  • Anthems for War Widows

  • Tone-of-voice manuals for Statesmen

  • Public apologies for Oligarchs

  • Heralded accounts of mock-assassinations

  • What is now known as the tagline.

Their salon became a haven for outcasts, orators, and off-the-books strategic brandmakers—long before such a term existed.

Where others deliver campaigns, we deliver cultural relevance as currency.

If you believe your brand deserves prose that outlasts the moment, call us and claim your brand’s place in history.
